Festival Tours

The Tshechu is an annual festival celebrated on tenth day of a month of the lunar calendar corresponding to the birthday of Guru Rimpoche (Guru Padmasambhava). Anyway the specific month of the Tshechu differs place to place and temple to temple.
Tshechus are fabulous occasions where whole community meet up to observe religious mask dances, get gifts and mingle. Notwithstanding the mask dance, tshechus also include colorful Bhutanese dances and other forms of entertainment.
